For functional and aesthetic purposes, thermoformed products often require the use of a lamination film. Applying a laminate may fulfill the need to attain an oxygen barrier, aseptic peelable, sealing application, scratch protection of a specific decoration. Extrusion lamination, a method of bonding such films to extruded sheet via heat, pressure, or a sequence thereof, provides processors with the flexibility to achieve such desired physical properties without having to invest in co-extrusion systems.
