About the Role
Orchestrate process trials and customer visits to the Technology Development Center, document results for the same on the demonstration sheet extrusion lines.
Interact and support in a cross-functioning role amongst the engineering departments.
Conduct and report on material characterization testing including moisture levels, melt viscosity and impact strength, clarity, performance benchmarks, etc.
Participate and generate White Paper technical presentations at trade conferences.
Provide sales support for sizing extruders and down-stream equipment for sheet extrusion lines.
Routine interaction within the Applications & Technology group via analysis, sales support and customer.
Requirements
Requirements
Successful candidate must possess:
10+ years of professional experience plastics related experience a plus.
M.S. or PhD. in Chemical Engineering.
Proficiency in the following: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Work location is Aurora, IL (I-88/Diehl Road).

About the Company
PTi is seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist for research and development in plastic processing. Process development will evolve from industry trends, customer and industrial sales requests, and the needs of Technical Services. The position will include management and analysis of process capabilities from inception, through regulatory and quality testing, and finally through operations to full scale production. The role will interact greatly with Technology and Engineering departments and require some direct interaction with customers.
