Automatic Turret Winders
Automatic turret winders, although less common than the others, are best for high production rates where automatic cutover is needed to promptly proceed with the next roll. Once a wound roll nears its required diameter, the turret is indexed, sheet is automatically cut, and transferred to an empty core. Automated shaft extraction and roll removal are also included. Roll restrictions are usually sheet widths of 78" (1980 mm) or less and roll diameters of 48" (1220 mm) or less. System is capable of multi-up winding.
